Taste as big as Texas!
For over 16 years Bob has served up his delicious Texas Slow Smoked BBQ to judges in BBQ cook off competitions all across Southern Texas. While Bob’s main occupation was in Electronic Engineering and later founder of a GPS Navigation Company he enjoyed spending his weekends with his buddies competing in BBQ Cook offs, or maybe it was just a good excuse to down a few long necks (Beer).

Bob made his decision to retire and move to Thailand, where soon after Bob realized that he was just not ready to fully retire. There was one thing he dearly missed from his home country of Texas (that’s in America, Texas is as big as a country) and that was his love for BBQ. He realized that in Pattaya and in Thailand for that fact there were no restaurants which served traditional slow smoked BBQ. After careful consideration of doing business in Thailand he decided to open his first location on South Pattaya Road. Bob’s has gained a reputation for his quality food, very large portions, and providing valuable dining experience which is as close as you will get to Texas, at least in Thailand. Bob’s has since expanded with a location on Walking Street inside the popular expat hangout the Tahitian Queen 2 on soi BJ.

Our rustic Texas restaurants have been famous for our signature Slow Smoked Baby Back ribs as well as other BBQ – smoked pulled pork, smoked pork tenderloin, and smoked BBQ chicken. And our portions are generous to satisfy any Texas-sized appetite, cause in Texas “Everything is Bigger”
And, our claim to having “the best ribs in the Kingdom” isn’t just old Texas BBQ boasts. Bob has over the last 17 years consistently placed in the top 10 in competitions of 100’s of contestants.
Bob’s love for his BBQ and attention to detail and ability to maintain a repeatable quality of food is one trait that can only come from the heart. There is also a big satisfaction for us to see our customers enjoying my mom’s potato salad and her other dishes. Thank You Mom!

We are constantly trying new new entres and appetizers to keep the menu filled with great americam favorites. Just like the Texas Chicken Fried Steak, this came about after a phone discussion with mom and she was talking about her and my dad going out for dinner and having a wonderfull Chicken Fried Steak. I almost couldn't wait until the next morning to start working on it. However it was not as easy as I thought to prepare large portions so I sought to one of Texas most famous restaurants in Houston called the Hickory Hollow Restaurant. They have the best & biggest Chicken Fried Steak in Texas. The owner more than willing to help out a fellow Texan provided us with there recipe and preperation instructions so now we all can enjoy good Chicken Fried Steak here in Thailand.
