Wagon Wheel the History

It was July 2004 and we were just opening our doors for business and we needed an advertising slogan. I was careful in trying not to cover up or bash some other competitors advertising ideas because we all have a part in this town. I originally wanted to advertise the slow smoked Baby Back Ribs but one of our competitors already was advertising the Best Ribs in the Kingdom so we started looking for another idea.

I thought about burgers but everybody has burgers, but then it hit me Texas is known for having big things so I thought I would do a big burger. At first we tried for weeks to get a bakery to make the bun to our order and finally we got it. So we had an A frame sign made that advertised “The Biggest Hamburger in Pattaya” 2 days after we had the sign a customer walked in and said I want to try the biggest hamburger in Pattaya. I knew from that moment we had our slogan.

I came up with the name of The Wagon Wheel Burger due to its large size 8 inches in diameter. Originally it started at 1 pound of beef and was a real challenge. Throughout the last 2 years it has grown to now a 700 gm or 1 ½ pound beef plus all the toppings to a full weight of 3+ pounds.

Now we have people everyday trying to make it in our Wagon Wheel Hall of Fame. Can you master the Wagon Wheel Burger Challenge?
